Frequently Asked Questions

Q: I just had botox. When can I get a facial?

A: We recommend waiting a full month after botox before getting a facial.

Q: How soon will I start seeing results from my facial?

A: You should see a difference immediately after your first facial depending on the type of treatment. In order to experience lasting results of a greater nature, we recommend monthly treatments.

Q: Will I peel/ have redness/ breakout after my facial?

A: Depending on how sensitive your skin is, you may notice a little redness or flaking in certain areas. Since the esthetician is ridding your skin of build up, it is also possible that you may experience a small post-facial breakout.

Q: What should I do to prepare for my facial?

A: Due to the variety of treatments we offer,  we highly suggest and recommend that all clients discontinue any at home facial treatments 3 days prior to your appointment. This would include any products with glycolic, lactic, or salicylic acid (AHA/BHA), as well as any retinol creams or gels and any other stimulating products that could cause irritation.

Q: Will the facial hurt or be uncomfortable?

A: You may experience slight discomfort during extractions. For the most part, our facials are painless and relaxing. It's quite common for our clients to fall asleep during a treatment.

Q: How often should I get a facial?

A: Usually, we recommend once a month. Your esthetician might suggest that you come in more or less frequently depending on your skin.

Q: I have a big event coming up and want my skin to look great! When should I get my facial?

A: You should schedule your facial about a week in advance. To really know what amount of time would be best for you, we recommend that you try a facial at least one month before the event, to make sure that you do not have an adverse reaction to the treatment.

Q: Can I wear makeup before/ after my facial?

A: Feel free to come in with a full face of makeup - our lovely estheticians will remove it for you at the beginning of your treatment. Ideally after your facial, we recommend that you relax at home, makeup-free. If you need to wear makeup, make sure you wash your face thoroughly before bed to avoid irritation or breakouts.

Q: I am a man with facial hair. Should I shave before my facial?

A: We recommend that men shave 24 hours before their facial.

Q: Can I go out in the sun before/ after my facial?

A: Make sure to use sun protection both before and after your facial. Our estheticians will not be able perform a facial treatment if you are sunburned. After your facial, your skin may be extra sensitive to the sun, so be sure to use an SPF 30 or more.
